The Procedure
Rhinoplasty, or nose job, is a surgical procedure that reshapes the nose to improve both its aesthetic appearance and functional performance. It is one of the most commonly performed facial procedures worldwide.
The procedure can address cosmetic concerns, breathing difficulties, or a combination of both, while maintaining natural-looking results that remain consistent with the patient’s facial features.
How It Works
Rhinoplasty surgery can be performed under local or general anesthesia.
It often involves:
- Careful assessment and surgical planning based on nasal structure and facial proportions
- Reshaping of cartilage and bone to improve nasal contour
- Structural support using cartilage reinforcement when needed
- Refinement of the nasal tip, bridge, and internal airway structures
The procedure focuses on structural balance rather than simple reduction. The nose is reshaped and reinforced to ensure long-term stability, natural appearance, and improved airflow when required.
A balanced nose begins with structural precision.

Recovery varies among patients, but most can expect- Mild discomfort is expected and managed with medication
- Swelling and bruising around the eyes may occur during the first 1–2 weeks
- Rest is recommended during the initial recovery phase
- The nasal splint and external dressings are typically removed after about 7 days
- Sutures are removed around 7 days if non-dissolvable
- Most visible swelling and signs of surgery improve within 10 to 20 days
- Return to non-strenuous daily activities is usually possible after 1 to 2 weeks
- Strenuous exercise and sports should be avoided for approximately 4 weeks
- Nasal swelling continues to refine gradually over several months
- Final results become fully visible between 6 months and 12 months
When can I observe the result?
Initial improvements are visible once swelling and bruising subside, typically within a few weeks. A more refined and natural result becomes apparent after two to three months, with final results visible after several months as tissues fully settle and healing progresses.
